I was born and raised in a conservative, fundamentalist Christian home. Only during college did I start to be exposed to different viewpoints that challenged what I always thought to be the truth. Now I subscribe to a truth that has led me to explore the progressive side of spirituality — a truth that seeks to “systematically decimate capitalism, racism, and cis-heteropatriarchy,” as this lettering project boldly proclaims. I have found art and lettering to be a valuable outlet for me to explore and interrogate my belief system, and I am constantly growing — both as a person and as an artist — because of it.
